I trust that you learned something about yourself last week as you began the journey with some reflection.

During this week, we are going to take it a step further into the Law of Awareness. As you did your reflection last week, you became aware of some things that you may have not realized about yourself. Now, we are going to dive a little deeper into understanding yourself by asking a few more questions to reflect on.

  • If you knew that you could not fail, what would you be doing?

  • Are you living that dream out? Is any part of your career/work incorporating this?

  • Do you like what you are currently doing?

  • If the answer is no, what parts do you like? What parts do you dislike?

  • If the answer is yes, what do you like best about what you are doing?

  • Can you do currently what you want to be doing?

  • As you review these answers, what is one action you can take today to start doing what you love?

Back in 2017, I was taking a year-long class. During our first session, we were asked to do some intuitive writing. If you have not done some intuitive writing, I will share the steps below. This exercise helps you to open up to your subconscious thoughts. During this exercise, I did the journal and learned something that I had never dreamed would come off the page. As a read what I had written, I was astonished to see that I was destined to help women coming out of the incarceration system or out of a domestic violence situation to understand the value that they held within themselves and to express the value to future employers.

This writing resulted in me taking a leap of faith in 2018 to start my own business with the mission to help women understand their value and develop and refine the skills that they already possessed and express their value. While the business has taken twists and turns since 2018, the mission has remained the same and I have been able to accomplish this mission through different modalities.

In addition, I was able to begin helping people and connecting them to resources right where I was at. While I was still employed at the Tribal Government, I made it my mission to connect the Tribal Members to the resources that they already had within their own tribe. While I was doing this, I realized that the Tribal Government was too small for the mission that I was destined to complete.

So, as you work through the questions above, I am curious…. Where can do your passion where you are at in this moment? What is stopping you from pursuing your passion? What do you have to stop doing so that you can lean into your passion? (For example, stop watching TV so that you have more time to pursue your passion. Stop listening to the radio while you are in the car and switch up to listening to audio books about your passion or listening to podcasts about people who have done what you want to do.)

  • If you are curious about intuitive writing, here are the steps that I do:

  • Find a comfortable place where you will not be interrupted.

  • Have a journal or notebook to write in.

  • Have a question that you are curious about.

  • These can be questions about a feeling or emotion.

  • This can be a question about your passion.

  • Take a few deep breaths to turn off the conscious mind and get to a place of total relaxation. Concentrate on your breath as you breath in and out. I like the 4-4-4 method. Breath in for the count of 4, hold for the count of 4, and breath out for the count of 4.

  • Then grab your notebook/journal and start with the sentence about your question.

  • For example, I am sad because….

  • I am passionate about…..

  • I am lonely because….

  • My passion is….

  • My dream is….

  • Keep writing the sentence until your pen takes over and it will.

  • As you begin to write, you may notice that tears may bless the page and that is okay. You are releasing something that was within you that you didn’t realize needed to be released. (How do I know? Many of my intuitive writing sessions ended in unexpected tears, unexpected realizations, and unexpected experiences that I didn’t realize bothered me and stopped me from being my best self.)

  • After you feel complete, take another breath and read it.

  • Once you have completed reading it, you may feel the need to burn it. (I did this when I wrote a letter of forgiveness to myself. What I didn’t realize is all of the things that I believed that I needed to forgive myself for – 8 written pages. I felt so good to burn it and return it to Mother Earth to hold on to so that I no longer had to carry those burdens.)

I trust that you are walking away with a new tool and that you learned something about yourself this week.

Thank you for being on this journey to discover your own leadership.

Have a blessed week.

Your Guide,

Michele Coy
