About Me.
As a young child, I wanted to be a math teacher and make a difference in the lives of others. As I went through school, math was a big strength of mine, which led me to a career in the Accounting field. While attending high school, I had the honor of landing a job with a small accounting firm. This job provided me the opportunity to try out accounting, and I found that I loved the job. This led me to graduating with my Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy.
I spent 26 years in the Accounting field. I worked as a small business bookkeeper with an accounting firm for 18 years, which led to working in several small business environments and ended in a Native American Government.
While working at the Native American Government, I discovered my true passion of helping others. During this time, I participated in a Dale Carnegie class with the goal of working on my leadership skills. Through this class, I learned much more than leadership skills. I learned that I added value to others through the experiences that I shared during our weekly speeches. After the class commenced, I volunteered to be a Graduate Assistant. As a Graduate Assistant, I continued to add value to others and began to realize what a difference I was making in the lives of others. This realization led me to becoming Certified Coach, Speaker, and Trainer with the John Maxwell Team.
In April 2018, I said goodbye to my co-workers and my job title and became an entrepreneur. I can say that this was one of the best decisions in my life. I wear a smile on my face, and I can now choose how I want to impact the lives of others.
Through the various volunteer opportunities, I discovered that I had a special gift of combining my accounting background with my leadership skills to help business owners recognize unearned profits. I learned that my superpowers of curiosity, active listening, and creating a safe space provide an additional value to my toolbox. I combine the opportunity to use their financial statements for decision making and understanding the impact of adding value to their team members will impact their profits. I use a combination of financial analysis, strategic planning, mindset shifts, and leadership development skills.
Today, I empower businesses through a combination of various business tools. I can work with you and your team through 1:1 Coaching, Team Workshops, Group Coaching, Roundtable Discussions, or Leadership Game. I am a facilitator of intentional, meaningful conversations that bring the root of the issues to the surface in a safe, confidential environment. During any service, I will ask additional questions to the individuals to discover meaning and perspective. All team members are highly encouraged to share during the conversation so that they feel seen, heard, and valued. All programs are customized to your team’s needs and gaps.
